Once again we are heading back in to a lockdown.
Add that to the weather turning cold and wet, then it's time to start thinking about how storing your car in lockdown.
Thankfully, this lockdown, we are able to leave our homes for exercise and our own mental wellbeing.
So, for your own peace of mind, wouldn't it be good to know you car is safe?.
Here is a quick guide to what you should be considering when you decide to store your car during lockdown.
How long will you store your car?
It maybe that you want to simply store your car during the week and get access to it when you fancy a drive!
It maybe that you need to store it away over the winter months to protect your car from the terrible British weather.
Alternatively you may be leaving the country, or not able to get back in to the UK, and need a long term car storage solution.

Wash and clean your car
Your car may just be sat there for months on end but it is always advised to get it spic and span before you drop it off at Storacar.
It really does help to stop any bugs or bad stuff getting in to the paintwork.
Pump up your tyres
Inflate your tires to the maximum PSI rating to the tires from developing flat spots. Don't worry about removing modern radial tires.
You can leave the car in neutral with the parking brake disengaged or, if you have an automatic car, you can leave it in park.
Invest in a good car cover

General Car Maintenance
Here is a little checklist of the things you should also do to ensure your car stays in tip top shape over lockdown and when you car is in storage.
Fill up with fuel
to limit condensation and help prevent rusting.
Check your oil
as older oil can cause damage to the engine if it is left for quite a while.
Pump up your tyres
to avoid tyre spotting.
