Fierce storms. Blazing hot sunshine. Torrential rain. Heavy snow!
The British weather is more unpredictable than ever before so, this winter, it makes perfect sense to consider storing your car.
Not only will your car be protected from the twists and turns of the natural environment, it will also be safe from prying eyes.
But before you
store your car this winter, here is a checklist of things you can do to keep your vehicle in pristeen condition.
Check your engine oil
Pull out that dipstick and take a good look at that engine oil. If it looks far from clean and clear, plus you may have also reached its mileage limit, change your engine oil before you place the car in storage.
Wash and clean your car
It's always a good idea to give your car a good clean, inside and out, before parking up your car for the winte. It will reduce the amount of contaminents on the vehicle and avoid any deterioration of paintwork during the storage period.
Pump up your tyres
Inflate your tires to the maximum PSI rating to the tires from developing flat spots. Don't worry about removing modern radial tires.
You can leave the car in neutral with the parking brake disengaged or, if you have an automatic car, you can leave it in park.
