The majority of cars stored with Storacar have their own car covers. It just adds another layer of protection to the bodywork of the vehicle while in storage. But which car cover should you choose and what features should you look out for?
Keep dust off your car
To maintain a perfect exterior to your car you will want your car cover to protect your vehicle from dust and dirt. Both of these can get into the exterior paintwork and damage it in the long term.
The car cover is always best to constructed with multiple layers of breathable material to protect the car and avoid any moisture build up.
Wash car, avoid scratches.
It is essential that you wash a car before you cover it with a car cover. Regardless of the material, and how soft it is, any dirt trapped between car and cover has the potential to scratch or damage paintwork.
The ideal car cover material is one made of a man-made soft lining. It’s also a good idea to give your car cover a wash now and again to get rid of any dust or dirt which may build up and damage your car when you place on the car cover.
Make sure it has a good fit
To find the ideal car cover for you, you also need to find one that is the right size.
So, the first thing you should do is measure your vehicle’s dimensions.
This should include the right measurements for the length, width and height.
A well-fitting and snug car cover should then not need any more securing other than the hem.
Branded Car Covers
To finish off your car cover you can either get them personalised or choosed a car branded version - very popular with Storacar clients.
So, even when your Ferrari, Porshce or Lamborghini is in storage you can still proudly display the badge.
